The CF-15 is the speaker for the sites that swallow smaller boxes — big lawns, deep seating fields, festival-scale movie nights. A 15" woofer takes the low end down to 48Hz, so film soundtracks keep their weight outdoors without a subwoofer, and 135dB of headroom keeps dialogue effortless at the back rows.
Outdoor audio loses the room reinforcement an indoor cinema takes for granted — bass disperses fast in open air. The CF-15's 15" cone and 500W power handling are the counter: soundtracks arrive with body, not just volume, across a deep seating field.
The same 90°×70° horn-loaded compression driver as the rest of the CF range keeps coverage even across the audience and falling away quickly beyond it — a real advantage on large public sites with residential edges.
An 18mm plywood cabinet with a weather-resistant finish and full-face perforated steel grille, with flying points for post, wall or truss mounting. It's a serious box — plan two people for the hang.
The CF-15 is passive, driven by a matched rack power amplifier we supply and spec. A pair fronts a large outdoor cinema; bigger sites again add CF-10 or CF-12 fills. Tell us the audience and the site and we'll quote the complete audio package.
Yes — the CF-15 is a passive speaker driven by a rack power amplifier. We supply matched amplifiers and spec the complete chain (amp, cabling, mounting) as part of the quote.
For most outdoor cinema, no — the CF-15 reaches 48Hz, which carries film soundtracks convincingly outdoors. For music-led events or very large sites we can add subs to the spec.
