This water-filled anchor weight provides a practical and non-invasive solution for securing inflatable cinema screens, marquees, and other temporary outdoor structures, especially in areas where ground pegs or stakes are not suitable.
Each unit is made from durable, UV-resistant PVC and designed to be filled on-site with standard hose water, holding up to 40 kilograms when full. Once filled, the anchor provides substantial stability in moderate wind conditions. When empty, the anchor is lightweight and compact, making it easy to transport and store.
A built-in tether point or D-ring allows for simple attachment using ropes, ratchet straps, or carabiners. Ideal for use on hard surfaces such as concrete, pavers, or indoors where floor protection is necessary.
NOTE: This is for a single anchor. Inflatable cinema screens require a minimum of 4 anchors.
Why these anchors
A water-filled PVC weight that holds your gear down without pegs — and folds away to nothing when the night’s over.
Built for inflatable cinema screens, but just as at home anchoring marquees, gazebos, banners and event signage — anywhere you need ballast on a hard surface where you can’t peg into the ground.
Empty, it folds down to a flat sheet of PVC that stows in a corner of the trailer. No rigid, space-hungry blocks to find room for between events.
Fill it from a standard hose when you arrive and tip it out when you leave. You move an empty bag, not a block of concrete or steel — easier on your back, your vehicle and your load limits.
At least four — one per corner. Then size the total ballast to the screen and the wind. As a guide from our wind-load estimates, four 40 kg anchors suit a 3–4 m screen in gusts to about 30 km/h, four 80 kg anchors cover a 4 m screen in stronger gusts or a 5–6 m screen in lighter ones, and larger screens or exposed sites want more. Err on the side of extra ballast — the full table is in our anchoring guide.
On hard surfaces — concrete, pavers, decking or indoors — you can’t drive pegs into the ground. Water anchors give you the same hold-down without marking the surface, and they’re kinder to turf than stakes.
Each anchor has a built-in tether point / D-ring; connect it to the screen’s anchor points with ropes, ratchet straps or carabiners.
Yes — they suit marquees, gazebos, banners and signage too, anywhere you need ballast without pegging in.
You only ever carry them empty — fill on site from a hose and empty before pack-down, so there’s no lifting of solid weights.
